“Great Golf Course - the Preserve Golf Club”
Reviewed October 5, 2011

Just a few minutes from the Casino Resort we experienced the beauty of the Preserve Golf Club. From sunrise to its evening setting, every hole on the course showed brilliant colors. The grounds were meticulously kept, comparable with the highest standards of tournament private courses. The Club House has ideal space for banquet meetings and good dining.

The Casino resort is under renovation process and due to be at full use by the holidays.

Thank you for visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast and The Preserve Golf Club. We appreciate your business and hope you will visit again in the future, we play golf all year round. The casino hotel renovations will be complete in a few weeks and the golf course always looks great during the fall season.

My husband and I stayed one night for his 65th birthday, The room that we were in seemed to be newly remodeled and painted. We had a good view, requested a view of the harbor and was given one. Large gaming area and "no smoking". They will give Hard Rock and the Beau Rivage a run for their money. We will stay at the Palace next time we are in Biloxi. The pool area is large and nice (didn't swim though). Everything about the room was excellent, clean, roomy and nice beds and pillows. They have recently remodeled and the Palace is a 4-star hotel in my opinion. Still a little remodeling going on, but it didn't interfere with anything. You won't be disappointed staying here. Can only go to the floor you are staying on with your room key which we liked, that way no else can ramble the halls.

Room Tip: Rooms close to elevator seem to be larger.

Another great trip to a place I have never been too, Biloxi Miss, wow..what a great small city, still can see the damage from Katrina, but the beauty is coming back. the Palace Casino Hotel is located in a great part of town, right across from the ocean, the Casino has just gone through a wonderful renovation and is first class. The rooms are wonderful, I had a harbor view which was great.
The pool area and bar are fantastic and the kids would love it. I got to go play golf at The Preserve Golf Club which is about 7 miles away but within 15 mins. GREAT golf course and I have played a lot..if you golfers are looking to go play a new course, you have to go to Biloxi and play The Preserve.
The food was wonderful, and had a great time in the Casino.
Well worth a trip to this part of the SE region!

We visit Biloxi every year for our anniversary and even though we had comps and stayed at the Grand, we decided to visit the Palace Casino since it became a non-smoking establishment. We were blown away at the improvements since Katrina. It was SOOO pleasant to walk around the casino and not be consumed in a cloud of smoke.

We ended up spending most of our gambling time there and had enough points built up to eat at the buffet one evening which was wonderful. All the staff we dealt with were very courteous and helpful.

We just might make this our hotel and casino of choice for our annual anniversary trip next year.

Thanks guys for starting a smoke free environment for us non-smokers.

Sincerely,
Pat

We also were there on August 30, 2011 when the lights went out in all the rooms. The generator kicked on and we hear the Casino was open for business. We were in our rooms
and called the front dest and all they could say was it had to do with the construction work. We chose to stay and went to bed to be awakend at 2:30 a.m. from the loud speaker telling everyone there was an emergency fire in the building and we all had to evacuate. We grabbed our belongings and walked down 7 flights of stairs to safety and we stopped at the
front desk to find out no manager was on duty. The power was out for 4-1/2 hours and the
desk clerks were to handle everything..........I don't think so. The incompetence was unacceptable to say the least.

Please accept my apology for the problems you experienced during our power outage and false alarm. The hotel manager on duty at that time was busy assisting other guests while we attempted to resolve the problem. Hopefully we will not ever have another evening like that but I assure you we have fully debriefed the staff and made corrections.

the hotel and casino are finishing remodeling...great location overlooking the back bay in Biloxi. it was soooo nice to be in a non-smoking establishment, but there are designated smoking areas...great happy hour food and drink at Mignon's bar, as well as service...we even won some money! Convenient casino hopper pick up for getting around. can't wait to see the finished remodel!

Room Tip: we enjoy th rooms overlooking the marina

I stayed at this property August 30, 2011 for one night ( well supposed to be for one night). The rooms are severely outdated - powder blue bathrooms, old furniture and bad tv's. The rooms are a nice size and have a couch, but it looked so old I did not want to sit on it.
The power went out in the hotel at around 10pm the night I was there - we were given no information on what was going on or how long it would be out. Casinos were fully lit of course...I was with other business travelers and we, as a group, decided to leave and check into another hotel being that we needed sleep. We were given no assistance in finding rooms to stay elsewhere - we were on our own. They did credit us for the nights stay, but the lack of assistance was disappointing. I am not sure what they did with guest who stayed overnight with no power - i didn't stick around to find out.
I will say everyone was courteous and the employees we had access to seemed just as clueless as we did about what was going on with the power.
On a positive note: the pool and hot tub were really nice, poll workers were very helpful - even served us drinks poolside. Buffet was good for the price as well.

Room Tip: as for an updated room with a view of the pool

Please accept my sincere apology for the difficulties you experienced on your visit. Unfortunately we suffered a failure of a brand new piece of electrical equipment that evening. My staff and I spent hours determining the cause of the problem but initially concentrated our effort on the safety of our guests. The final phase of our current expansion and renovation project is an upgrade to our hotel guest rooms.
