I have eaten at Mary Mahoney's twice in the past two years. The food is average. There are far better restaurants to enjoy on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with better seafood dishes than Mary Mahoney's. The prices are extremely high for the quality of food you receive.

The food here is all you can hope for. You can even say it is great. You are going to pay for it though. If you are any kind of a budget you will blow it here. As great as the food was, it was hard to enjoy because of the price.

Be prepared to spend serious money here BUT be ready to enjoy some elegant and tasty dishes along with it. I started with the gumbo which was full of shrimp and the classic rue. Next was the shrimp and crab au gratin which was filled with all the good stuff and an excellent side of asparagus. The lady friend had the salmon topped with lump crab and it was just about perfectly cooked. Not impressed with their version of crawfish etoufee though, tasted ok but looked like chili on pasta. Finished with desserts of bread pudding and mississippi mud pied. Both excellent but we've had better. $100 bucks for the two of us but you could tell it was top quality seafood and the ambiance was excellent as well.

The food was spectacular. I had veal and my wife had crab & Shrimp Au Gratin. The french bread was buttery, yet crisp. A five star dining experience. Do not miss this place

Located a 5 minute or less walk from the Beau Rivage and Hard Rock hotels this is the perfect place to get good southern hospitality and great food. It is an old house with dining in separate rooms and the meals won't disappoint. My favorites are the petite crab claws broiled and their seafood gumbo both yummy and more than enough for dinner. I had their Veal Antonio which is a melt in your mouth cutlet topped with crabmeat, it was delicious. Menu is a little pricey but worth it, just don't over order...
