“Great place... IF you order the more elevated dishes.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

I've heard many people say that Jia is overrated, only to find out that they had some lo mien or stir fry dish.

If you go to Jia, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't order the higher end dishes. The roast duckling, braised short ribs, and whole crispy snapper, for example, are fantastic. The stir fry, lo mien, and hibachi taste like any other decent place out there, so spend your casino winnings and splurge on the higher-end entrees.

As far as the Beau properties, Jia and Stalla are head to head as my favorites. I will say though, that Tien at the IP is a better asian place.

“Better than good - great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We harken from San Francisco which has great Chinese cuisine. So we were delightfully surprised to find Jia with comparable quality. We would have eaten here every night, but it's only open 3-4 nights a week.

“Really expensive.”

Food average at best. Had the won-ton soup which was awful. Didn't try the sushi but main dishes just ok. some steak and lobster dishes topped $100.00.

“What an experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We recently ate at Jia as a farewell dinner for a friend. The level of service is beyond what you would expect, even at a 4 diamond restuarant. From the moment we arrived until we left it was a great experience. We tried a little bit of everything when it came to sushi. The bone-in ribeye was to die for! I see more Jia dinners in our future. Great job to the staff and Chef!

“Great sushi for Mississippi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

This is the best sushi that I have ever had in Mississippi. Generally I know better than to order sushi in Mississippi, however this sushi was fantastic. The rolls were good, the sashimi was nice, and I am so glad I had the chance to eat here. We also ordered the seafood hotpot. It was fantastic. I highly recommend asking for hot sauce and chili sauce if you like your food spicy.
