Thank you for taking time to write an honest review of our casino. We are the smallest casino in the Biloxi area, but I hope you enjoyed a more personal level of service due to our smaller size. Rather than build a new casino after Hurricane Katrina we opted to renovate our hotel which served as a historic landmark in the heydays of Biloxi, but also limits our size. We are taking immediate steps to mitigate the smell of smoke on the casino floor and in the hotel lobby. Currently we are replacing the carpeting in all Gaming areas which should dramatically reduce the smell of smoke. Better air filtration is also being used to combat the amount of smoke in the air. As always, we do not allow smoking in any of our restaurants. I’m glad you enjoyed your dining experience and I hope you’ll visit again soon with the hope of less smoke and less bother on your allergies.

“UGH!”
Reviewed November 14, 2011

All the tips given for this place was incorrect. The casino players made you hug your purse closer - extremely seedy! Had tips that the table games had $2 minimums - none did - we were there in early afternoon during the week! Very dirty & old!

Thank you for taking time to write your appraisal of our casino. I regret that the experience was not enjoyable. We do indeed offer lower bets on table games including blackjack, craps and roulette during specific hours as stated on our website and all other promotional advertising. Our property is older than our competitors; rather than build a new casino after Hurricane Katrina we opted to renovate our hotel which served as a historic landmark in the heydays of Biloxi. We have also won awards for our redesign of the property since.

Although we always appreciate all reviewers’ opinions, we encourage the reader of our reviews to consider all reviews of our property whether they are positive or negative. If you find a review that does not coincide with other posted reviews, then read appraisals of other properties written by the reviewer in question. Everyone has their own form and style or writing; as with any decision we suggest it be based on as much data as possible.

“I enjoyed the restaurant”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

"CQ" and "Blu" (the restaurant and lounge) are on the 9th floor, and are the best part of the casino. Walk in, turn left at the front desk and get on the elevator and hit "9". No reason to stay on 1st or 2nd floor unless you really want to gamble.Didn't stay in the hotel part so I have no idea about the rest of it. The establishment is very nice, but the impressive part is the NINTH FLOOR.

Thank you for taking time to write an honest review of our property. Thank you for your complementary statements concerning CQ and blu. We are very proud of the 9th floor. Hopefully one day you can enjoy the view of our pools from the 9th floor ballroom or from the pool deck. I would suggest for anyone wanting to experience blu to visit on Monday night (blu opens at 5pm) to enjoy half-priced tapas menu items all evening. It’s an excellent place to meet friends and share mouth-watering appitizers and amazing views.

“A glimmer of what it used to be”
Reviewed October 22, 2011

Before Katrina, the Treasure Bay casino was located inside a pirate ship-themed barge on the gulf. Unfortunately the hurricane destroyed the ship, so the gaming is all within the casino's land-based hotel / "resort" area.

It is obvious that they were financially hurt by the loss of their ship, so the atmosphere is more like a lower-grade midwest Native American casino than the rest of the Biloxi gaming locations. The staff are friendly and they have the full complement of table games and slots, there are simply far superior options in Biloxi.

“Don't plan on sleeping very well!!”
Reviewed October 11, 2011

We checked into the hotel on a Monday afternoon and stayed one night. We rented the Jacuzzi Loft room which overlooks the Gulf. It was a beautiful room. We ate at the buffet and gambled in the casino. All of the staff was great and very friendly and helpful. After a couple of drinks and some games of blackjack, we went to sleep. At 7am, we awoke to horrible banging noises down the hall. I called the front desk and they informed me that the noises were the repairs being made to the elevator. I know that there were signs stating that the elevators were being worked on and to "pardon our dust". I don't recall anyone ever saying to us that there would be intolerable noises and wall rattling at 7am.
Then, after falling asleep for approx. 40 more minutes, more shaking and loud noises. Then, finally about 10 minutes after shutting my eyes again, there was a fire alarm that rang for 10 full minutes and a loudspeaker announced that everyone should evacuate the hotel for a fire emergency. Then after a while, another voice explained that there was no emergency. I'd had it by then and packed my stuff and checked out. The staff was helpful and tried to do their best. The hotel itself is to blame. If check out is at 11 and check in is at 4, why can't the elevator be worked on at a more reasonable time of day, say after 9 am? I could possibly be convinced to give it another shot, but not bloody likely....
