“Beauvoir is worth visiting!!”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

We were staying near Beauvoir, the retirement of of Jefferson Davis, and decided to visit. The home has survived many hurricanes and is still standing. A beautiful home, off the gulf. The education center/library offers three short films on the history of the house and the Davis family. At the time of our visit, an art show was on display and a few historic items from the civil war. There is a cementery is on the grounds, many areas to walk, and wildife.

“Enjoyed our tour.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

I have been here before but this time took my daughter while we were her for spring break. We both were touched by the amount of destruction that Katrina did to this area. To see Beauvoir still standing after such a horrific storm is amazing. Our tour guide was awesome. She was very friendly and informative. Took the time to answer everyone's questions. She explained the damage that the house sustained during Katrina and what it took to get it back to the state that its in now. Beauvoir is the only historical home still standing on the coast in that area. If you are a history buff you will enjoy this tour. Be sure to walk around on the grounds and visit the cemetery as well.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

Went here with my boyfriend, mother and great aunt. Was a great scenic tour during the first week of Marci gras. Our tour guide was very nice, talked loud enough so we all could hear, and answered all the questions the other people had. The property is very well kept and all the staff was friendly. A must-do if you're in Biloxi.

“Great!”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Beauvoir was a nice detour from the usual beach activities. My husband is a civil war buff, so I was kind of reluctant about this but decided to anyway. I'm so very glad I did!! It was a great activity! The museum was nice. The guided house tour was great with interesting facts and humor sprinkled throughout. The house is beautiful. The grounds are well-kept and the view from the front porch overlooking the ocean is spectacular. Beautiful!

We had a great tour guide who was very informative. He also had a wonderful sense of humor. It was approx 30 minutes long or so and enjoyed the history of the place. The teens with me loved it and thought it was pretty cool. Definitely a must see and do...beautiful beautiful beautiful
