This was an overnight stop on our way home from the Big Easy. Because we had overindulged over the last four days, we didn't need a whole lot, but a bowl of soup sounded good to hold us over until breakfast. We stumbled on this place and lucked out! We enjoyed a bowl of Mexican Gumbo and Chicken Tortilla soup, and boy, did we enjoy them. Quite unlike what we experienced at a couple of different places in New Orleans, the Gumbo here was loaded with meat, beef, chicken, and shrimp, not over-loaded with rice as the others. The Chicken Tortilla was equally good and thoroughly satisfying. No need to go on with more food, as the portions were generous.
Oh, did I forget to mention the Margaritas? Don't forget to try them when you go. They're also generous with the Tequila, so no need to order three of them!
