Hospitality with a capital "H"
If you are looking for a small, friendly beachside lodge away from the hustle, bustle and action of the large resorts then this is the ideal spot for you.
Great location direct on the Indian Ocean with each of the 5 lodges located on top of its own sand dune. The lodges consist of one sizable room with an open plan bathroom and fantastic sea views direct from bed. Another highlight for us was the private veranda including hammock!
You won’t find all the five star luxury mod-cons here as the lodge is set up to be as self-sustainable as possible. This means if you can’t cope without electricity guzzlers such as hairdryers, TVs, minibars or air conditioning this is not perhaps the place for you but to be honest we did not miss them. Instead we found a fabulous place owned/run by two great ladies and there team who will go out of their way to make your stay most enjoyable. The food was excellent (Seafood in abundance) and the service second to none.
Two info’s which we think are useful to have if planning to come to this area. Firstly our lodge was fitted with one multi electricity socket which will accept plugs from both central Europe and the UK so no need to bring or buy adaptors. Secondly bring cash with you. We arrived with limited cash (SA Rand which is accepted...Hospitality with a capital "H"

Firstly our lodge was fitted with one multi electricity socket which will accept plugs from both central Europe and the UK so no need to bring or buy adaptors. Secondly bring cash with you. We arrived with limited cash (SA Rand which is accepted almost everywhere) and assumed we could pay with MasterCard or at least pick up cash at the ATM. This is not the case. The lodge and the majority of the places in and around the area only accept VISA and the only cash machine within walking distance was not working (it also only takes VISA). Finally things to do : Long walks on empty sandy beaches (pickups can be arranged if you only want to do one way), ocean safari including swimming with whale sharks and (highly recommend) kayaking through the mangroves.More
