If you could rate this on this website as a zero they would be 10 points below that or maybe even more. We stayed one night, our hotel room was a ridiculous price.. $144. I can't believe we wasted a 144 dollars on a room that smelt like someone had died in it. There was hair in the bathroom, stains all over the carpet, hair on our sheets, the bed was hard, the pillows were lumpy and the walls were covered in spills of some sort. I can only hope it was pop, atleast that's what we told ourselves so we could get some rest. The service was terrible the restaurant was disgusting. The man at the counter was a jerk, he didn't even care. You couldn't pay me to go back to this dump. I should have listed to my husband and we should have stayed at the MOTEL next door. Oh and by the way there's no continental breakfast but you get a 1 off coupon to eat at the dirty restaurant attached. "You're welcome!". >>>> DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL<<<<<<

Stayed here when taking daughter to college. Good value. Restaurant on site which was a plus. Would stay again. Wish they had a college visit rate however. Some hotels in the area offer that. Definitely will be a factor when we cone to see her again.

We were there for a huge local event, so the hotel was crowded. The front desk was prepared and everything went smoothly there. The rooms are nice and clean and updated. The hotel restaurant had good food, but they seemed overwhelmed by the crowd. Our supper took a long time to be delivered. They opened the restaurant early for us, which was great. I was in the first party seated and things moved quickly and smoothly. People who were there earlier said they were understaffed and overwhelmed. To be fair, I know the crowd had some troublemakers in it - when a restaurant is busy and you have people asking the staff for gluten-free, lactose-free, no salt, no dairy, etc. That's too much! They were also maybe glad to see us leave. Overall, they handled it well and the delay at supper was actually sort of nice because we didn't have anything else to do but sit and visit.

We stayed two nights and was overall pleased. The hotel could use a few updates but was clean. We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. There was plenty of room for our family of four. The hotel is right off HWY 61 at the first Winona exit and was convenient to Winona State University (our trip was for a campus visit). It has an attached restaurant, an indoor pool and fitness area. A drawback was that there was NO free morning breakfast (because of the attached restaurant I am sure), like many other suite hotels offer. The hotel did provide a some breakfast discount vouchers for the attached restaurant but, for the cost per night of the room a free breakfast would not have been out of line.

The room was huge. The bathroom was huge, and included two sinks and a tv mounted on the wall you could watch while in the tub. The fixtures were colored gold (but not made of gold). The bed was comfortable. So, while you would say that this was a pretty nice hotel for the area, it did seem to be decorated in the 90s with a sort of small town idea of what luxury would look like, without actually being luxurious. But it is clean, which is very important. And the staff is nice. But like I said, it's a little odd.

Room Tip: Breakfast is not included, but you can get breakfast at the Green Mill which is connected to the hot...

We had a two day stay for a wedding. Room was a king suite. This was a former Holiday Inn and has been fully renovated. The room was large as was the bathroom (double vanity). There was even a TV in the bathroom, the purpose for which I did not understand. New 40" flat screen TV and a good wifi connection even though we were in a room on a far end of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. There is a Green Mill resturant connected to the hotel. Food there is good but we would advise staying away from the breakfast buffett. The desk personal were very friendly and helpful, every one of them. We think this hotel is probably the best in Winona.

We stayed at this hotel for the Winona Triathalon. They were a featured hotel for the event. Upon check-in, we request a late checkout because we wouldn't be done with the race until 11:30 and wanted to shower before our 5 hour drive home. They told us to check back in the morning. But in the morning, there were no more late checkouts available and we were forced to make the long drive with no shower after a 3 hour race.

When we got to our room, it was 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning was not turned on in our room so it was 80 degrees in the room. It took over two hours to cool to a tolerable level. In 90 degree heat when they knew the room would be occupied, I have no idea why they would let it get to 80 degrees.

We ate dinner at the Greenmill about 9:00 p.m. The restaurant was total chaos. Our table was close to the server area and several servers were complaining that it hadn't been this busy in over 2 years. They were completely unprepared for the crowd associated with the event.

The rooms were generally clean, just slightly dated. My biggest issue is that as a featured vendor for the event, they were totally unprepared and should not have been in that role if they could not cater to the needs of the racers. I find it REALLY hard to believe that they were sold out on a Sunday evening and could not have been more flexible with the checkout times for this event. If we do this race again, we will definitely not stay at this hotel.
