Charming! Wonderful accommodations. Whole house was immaculately clean. Specifically liked that each room has a private bathroom. The innkeeper (Anne) and the caretaker (Darlene) were very friendly. Nice continental breakfast. Definitely would stay again.
I continue to book my room at this Inn because of the comfortable and clean accommodations. (And because it is located close to my favorite yarn shop, Yarnology :) Anne is the kindest host and makes sure your stay is the best! What I especially like about this Inn is that i can bring my own breakfast, lunch & snack and store it in their refrigerator. There is no set time for a breakfast as it is self serve, so you can sleep in if you wish :) I can come and go as I please making it convenient and affordable by not having to eat out every meal. I know you will enjoy your stay at the Village House Inn as much as I have over the years!
Affordable and very pleasant. Nice hiking just across the highway at St Mary's and bicycling around the lakes, etc. Not having breakfast served made it more private and quiet. Keurig and pastries, cereal, yogurt, bananas, OJ. Room to stretch. Very homey.
Great B&B and Ann was a wonderful host. They welcome you with a gift basket including yummy caramel and popcorn. They have a local bakery provide granola, bagels and pastries among other things for breakfast. Restaurants to try - Mango's Mexican is Amazing... and the Acoustic Café was great and at night, they had local musicians play. Both I would recommend.
Great place to stay. Nice room, great location, nice amenities. What more would you want? We try to stay there every time we visit the area. It's a good choice and a good value. The handmade caramels that awaited us in our room were a real treat!
My wife and I found the Village House Inn to be incredible. Anne, the host, graciously welcomed us and offered helpful information about the area. Our room on the first floor offered privacy with a very nice sitting room adjacent to our bedroom. The living room was spacious and welcoming. The Village House Inn was very reasonably priced, especially compared to many other B&B's. No doubt, this place will be our first choice when we are in Winona again. Oh, and I must mention that it was very clean.
We spent one night while participating in an activity at a local state park. The Inn was very clean, nicely decorated, and private. Anne was very gracious and allowed us a late check out because of our schedule. It was nice not to stay in a crowded, busy, impersonal hotel. Would stay there again!
