For those unfamiliar with the concept, permit me to explain. At Lakeview, you don't get out of your car. Instead, you roll down your window and wait for the server to come out and take your order. The hand-painted menu is helpfully nailed to the front of the building.
Make sure to leave your window rolled up about three inches from its lowest possible position. Doing so will permit the server to mount the food tray on your window. But beware, Prius-drivers: the Prius driver's window is unhelpfully sloped thus making it difficult to attach the tray. Just be forewarned.
The last time I was here I visited with the Ratling and Gramma Rat. Everyone has their favorites, of course, but you can't beat the root beer. Ask for it in a Frosty Mug if you want to maximize the experience.
My personal favorite is a toss-up between the Fish Sandwich and the Corn Dog. Both are equally dry, so make sure to ask for tartar sauce and/or ketchup, as required by the situation.
