Small laid back park with nice views, good hiking trails and campsites that aren't too developed and ridiculously modernized. Just how we like it. You will have to search a little for the best camp sites. Some are too close to one another for our tastes. Located this close to the Mighty Mississippi we expected mosquitoes and were prepared. Good thing too because they are big, hungry and EVERYWHERE. Bring your DEET and you'll be fine. There are a couple of great viewpoints you can drive to and more if you hike a little. We went in the Spring but I bet it is fantastic in the Fall. Enjoy!
