The hotel was fine.

It was clean.

It was quiet. The bed was comfortable.

The free breakfast (including waffles) was perfect.

They don't have an elevator so if you have trouble climbing stairs, request a 1st floor unit.

Was very satisfied with the AmericInn in Willmar. It was clean, quiet, and was a perfect location to meet my daughter from Grand Forks, North Dakota to spend a weekend together! We enjoyed our time in Willmar and would plan to meet there again sometime, it is about half-way for both of us.

The front desk person was great! She was friendly and made us feel very welcome to the hotel. I also forgot my room key and she was very kind in giving me another. She was also there when we had breakfast and she was helpful in getting the item we needed right away. The room was clean and very comfortable, but the exceptional staff is what will bring us back!

The room was clean and well-stocked. Unfortunately, the bathroom light went out. We did not inform the desk because it was late and we did not want to be kept awake waiting for someone to check it out.

No noise problems for us. It was quiet. We were on the main floor a ways down the hall from the reception desk.

The late afternoon desk clerk was a friendly and helpful woman. However, at the beginning of breakfast time, the "kid" who was on duty didn't seem to know too much about customer service; I don't think he received proper training. Some of the breakfast items were not stocked or had run out, and he had a bit of a shoulder shrugging attitude. The fellow who came on duty a little while later was more professional.

This hotel was okay but if EI had not gotten a ARRP discount it would have been way overpriced. Even with my discount it was a little too expensive given that the room was so small and we could hear the breakfast room really early in the morning.

Our one queen room on the second floor shared a wall with the breakfast room. So at the crack of dawn we could hear the loud beeping of the waffle maker. Oh joy!

The room was so small the clothes rod and hangers was over the bedstand. Weird. Strange that the hotel paid for granite bath appointments but could not spring for better insulated walls.

Room Tip: Room 202 single queen is small and shares wall with breakfast room.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. It does look like it has been upgraded with newer TVs and the wifi worked well. It was not quiet. We turned on the fan to drown out the noise from the hallway. Children were running up and down the hall. We could hear almost everything from the desk and the stairway, and we were on the 2nd floor. Children were in the pool after 10 PM, jumping, diving, and splashing water everywhere, mom didn't say much. The hot part of the breakfast was waffles and something that looked like french toast. The waffle mix was in the fridge, and it wouldn't come out of the cup, so the waffles didn't turn out that great. The rest of the offerings were limited. We had no opportunity to say anything to the mgmt. at checkout as he was on the phone having what sounded like a personal conversation.

Room Tip: Don't get room 201 or 203, they at the top of the stairs.

As with all Americinns, I am satisfied. This property has dated-looking furnishings and needs updating, but that's not as important to me as cleanliness, things in working order, etc., which they were.

Carpeting seems newer. Previous posters complained about that, so it must have been updated.
Front desk very helpful. .
