“Beautiful Cottage!”
Reviewed June 13, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

A beautiful,, clean, well equipped, spacious cottage that had everything you could possibly need. The views were spectacular and my granddaughter loved seeing the cows and the sheep and would count all of the sheep at bedtime!
We visited the nearby beach which was amazing with rock pools galore to explore. The Barton Combe Inn served amazing food. Boscastle, Bude & Tintagel were within easy reach.
We would love to come back and stay again.

“Home from home”
Reviewed July 6, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The cottage is quite lovely, well maintained and fully equipped. There is a bathroom for each bedroom and off-street parking for three cars. The field behind the house is filled with sheep that come right up to the decking and pose for photos.

Crackington Haven is a small cove with a rugged beach that has the most amazing sunsets. There is one pub/restaurant which is excellent but there are many more in the nearby towns and villages.

We had a wonderful time despite the awful weather and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage, either as a base from which to tour Cornwall or for lazy, do-nothing days.

“Perfect house for a great holiday”
Reviewed May 31, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Great place to stay. Everything you need for a brilliant holiday. So much to see and do in the surrounding area. We wanted a relaxing break and that's what we got.The house itself was beautiful modern spotless and had free wifi which was a bonus and loved the underfloor heating. Would defiantly stay there again.

“Didn't want to come home.”
Reviewed April 12, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

St Johns View was modern, spacious and had all the amenities you would need, it was clean and tidy, inside and out. We felt thoroughly spoilt with a bathroom for each of us and the additional wet room downstairs. We are a couple with a ten year old and fifteen year old, we all loved staying at the property, it was extremely comfortable.
The only criticism would be that there are no blinds/curtains on bathrooms and patio door windows. We hope to return for another visit very soon.

Thank you for your very kind comments. We are always pleased to hear that people have had a great time. With regard to the blinds we decided that the opaque glass in the bathrooms gave enough privacy. We decided to leave the downstairs sliding doors clear of curtains or blinds as we did not want anything to spoil the fantastic views and of course apart from the sheep the back of the house is not over looked by anyone else.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed February 24, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

'Wow' St Johns View is a fabulous property. We could not have asked for more, for our family winter break. A welcoming and luxurious home, we all loved it here! There was everything in the property we needed to make it a home from home and plenty of space for us all, upstairs and downstairs.
Sitting in the lounge with the woodburner lit, looking out over the fields was great on a chilly day or sitting on the decking outside in the winter sunshine talking with the sheep was so relaxing. A short drive down to the beach, where my family love to spend time, rain or shine. We met some lovely friendly people in the village, the shop is but a short walk and is well stocked and extremely helpful.
We have stayed in and around Bude and Widemouth for many years but, St Johns View is by far a superior property and fairly priced. So easy to book on line, my family would love to come back here for future holidays. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We try hard to make St Johns View a fantastic place to base a holiday in North Cornwall. Hearing this kind of feedback makes our hard work well worth it. Please do come again!

“wonderfully spacious”

The second time we have rented the cottage at this time of the year when visiting family who then join us for meals or staying over for a night. The open plan layout works well for us albeit that all the glass, when the wind and rain is battering it, can make you feel a little exposed. That said, it is perfectly airtight. Maybe we'll try and experience it on a warm summer's day sometime - it would be lovely to sit out on the decking and really enjoy that view!

As previously mentioned the problems with the doors are to be sorted out although not really an issue for us. The cottage has all you would need and the location is good. Coastal walks from the beach are lovely - we managed to do that last year - and Tintagel, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Bude are all well worth a visit. The local pub, The Coombe Barton inn, is also worth a visit - improved on last year with new proprietors and the food is rather good.

Liked best: The location is obviously a particular factor for us as we have family living in Crackington Haven.
Liked least: The weather! Seriously, the only thing was the wood burner - it was little temperamental - it was suggested the seal around the base of the flue pipe had gone?
