Description: There isn't a place in the world where pizza is more ingrained in the culture than Naples. It is, after all, where pizza was born. That includes firing your pizza in a wood-burning oven to a blistering 800 degrees. Punch utilizes the same centuries-old techniques that Neapolitan masters use to create a truly authentic pizza. The world's finest San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and top-secret dough form the foundation of the pizza, but the true craft is in mastering the wood fired oven.

My kids love this pizza, and it not hard to understand why. It tastes just like the pizza we had it Italy, and that means delicious. Service is super quick and the pizza is great. Staff is friendly. If you are not up for pizza, the salads are great too. They have a nice wine by the location, and usually serve local beer on tap. All Punch restaurants provide awesome pizza and great service. Not only that, they are very active in the community. They also provide great deals, so get on their mailing list (deals on pizza if you bring food for the food shelf, Halloween pizza deals, etc.)

If you enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizza, Punch is just about as close as you can get on this side of the Atlantic. It may not be for some people who are accustomed to Americanized pizza, but if you like the real Italian thing, Punch should be for you.

The selection of pizza toppings was pretty varied, but we ordered two and thought both were just OK. Certainly not enough to make us return. Plus, the cost was on the higher side.

There are lots of places in the Twin Cities to get better pizza. The concept is a bit different--the crust is more like a crumbling cracker than pizza dough. You won't be wowed or offended--different, but not special.

The pizza is solid, but way overrated. The center is extremely wet and under cooked, yet the other 2/3 is charred and dry.

The toppings are almost non existant. I got 4 quarter size pieces of salami on my last pizza. The cheese covers about 1/4 of each slice.

I realize they subscribe to the "less is more" ideology, but it really comes down to "less flavor and quality for you and more money for us".

The profit on each pizza must be around 400%
