Stayed at Charlene and Dennis's B&B in mid September with this being the second year in a row. The breakfasts are excellent and the hosts are always up for some friendly conversation. Received recommendations for restaurants and places to see in the local area.

Stayed in the Kabakona room which was clean and spacious. There is no fridge in the room but there is one in the common area on the second floor to service all three rooms.

The B&B is close to a restaurant called The Boulders which serves excellent meals and if you get there between 5 and 5:30 there is a menu much like the main menu but the prices are half. Also, no matter what day of the week or time of day a reservation is required.

Dennis and Charlene you make this place hard to leave. Your cooking, kindness, comfy beds and general adorable good-naturedness and humor make your b&b one we will return too.

The breakfast this am was so darn good and filling. I gained 5 pounds and hope to lose it on a walk near your trail.

We loved the smell of the fire and the wine and banana bread were to die for.

Great comfy beds along with fantastic amenities make this a place that we shall come to again and again.

Don't change a thing about Embracing Pines.

We stayed at the Embracing Pines last weekend. The trip to see the changing leaves was made on a whim and so we had difficulty finding a place to spend the night. Luckily, the Pines had an opening so off to Walker we went.
This Bed and Breakfast is a new Log cabin home with three bedrooms for visitors. The yards were well kept up and we would have like to stay longer to enjoy the camp fire and the wild life surrounding the house. You knew there was an abundance of wildlife near the house when the host has a mound of binoculars for the visitors use and an enormous bird book to identify the birds. There is a long dock going down to the river with a bench on it. Jeanne and I sat on the bench and watch the ducks swim. Our room was well furnished and the bed must have been made in heaven. After a long day, we hit the sheets, we were dead asleep until the grandfather clock woke us in the morning. Breakfast was not your ordinary fare. Fresh fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, a baked egg dish, attentive host and an opportunity to chat with the other tenants made breakfast memorial.
The only down side was finding the Bed and Breakfast., Mississippi Road is not on the GPS and no one in town knew how to find it. A simple telephone call to the owners fixed that. Both Jeanne and I recommend this fine Bed and Breakfast.

A warm inviting home set in the woods of Minnesota, with a pleasant "Mom and Dad" feeling from the hosts that makes it comfortable. No standard breakfast fare here either, the morning was a delight prepared by a very accomplished chef, and served with a flare that we could not compare.
It does not matter the season, as a retreat to this warm inviting home is in every sense a luxury escape. We will return with out hesitation!
Thank you.
