The buffet was just ok. Had a good salad and the rest of the meal was decent. I was hungry so the buffet enables me to get my pig on and I was satisfied. But nothing stood out as fantastic and a few items were off (alfredo was sticky/gluey and the garlic bread that you'd loose a tooth trying to penetrate). The mashed potatoes and chicken were fine and the tacos were good too, but again, not a dinner I would brag about.

We have stopped by for several years, but find it increasingly depressing. Very smokey and the buffet is not the quality it used to be. Disappointing.

We stayed here on a road trip to Lake Itasca, headwaters of the Mississippi. The casino looks great from the outside but the rooms, while adequate, are not as luxurious as other casino hotel rooms. The room was clean and comfortable enough plus they are connected to the casino.

Three places to eat inside casino; Buffet; order off menu higher prices restaurant and the cafe on the casino floor. We ate at the cafe. Cheaper food. Basic. I would always order something they have to cook hot; instead of something from the case.

After a fun time in the Casino; four friends decided to use our "points" towards a meal. Seated at a nice table with an attentive server, we ordered beverages. I had a wine (mistake) cost even with "Happy Hour" 7.00 dollars. Served in a plastic cup. Was way sweet, no fault but mine for not ordering DRY white. Also be advised; it means coming from bar, so may take a while. The buffet had a decent salad bar and lots of protein like chicken, very tender brisket, and the fixings. All in all not a bad meal for buffet. We went at 5;30 p.m. and saw there was a "rush" towards 6 p.m. so be advised.

This casino only caters to the big spender! If you can afford to bet $10.00 or $15.00 each pull on penny or nickel slots don't waste your money or time.
Most workers are nice and it isn't their fault this place rips off most folks that just are trying to have a little fun!

First, it looks great from the outside. Inside the smoke smell permeates everything in the casino including the buffet and sandwich shop. We did not check out the fine dining restaurant but after eating at the sandwich shop we won’t be back to eat there again. Casino floor is loaded with penny machines. I was told by one person that the state of Minnesota doesn’t regulate or have any jurisdiction over penny slots on reservations. The high limits room has about 15 machines but most were dollar machines requiring you to play numerous ones at once. If you are a controlled gambler and just want some time away from the water, it’s okay.....but I wouldn’t hit an ATM machine to gamble here.

Made reservation on line for 60-60 deal meaning $60.00 room rate plus restaurant coupon and gaming coupons. Still on line but wouldn't honor saying that promotion was over in may. I guess this is how they get people here. RIP OFF, oh and the wifi is next to worthless and they charge extra for refrigerator an microwave. Here for two nights but will be the last time.

We were traveling through Minnesota and just happened to see the Northern Lights Casino on our journey. We decided to stop and drop a few coins. Too smokey for me to really stay for a long time. Maybe we will try this casino again when we return to Minnesota.
