My overnight stay was pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent, but have to say the woman taking care/cook of the breakfast was by far one of the most friendly and helpful that I've met. I was on crutches and she took the time to help me with my food.

Room Tip: Rooms on lake side are quieter.

We had a great stay Labor Day weekend. The staff was awesome, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. The only negatives were that beds were so-so and the TV's were very, very, very dated. Time for a TV update!

Overall, it was a short but great stay. I would stay there again.

The staff at this Inn are outstanding. The check in was quick. The coffee and cookies in the lobby 24/7 was awesome. The room was average. The location was noisy, right off the highway. The breakfast had several selections with a nice attendant always willing to assist you. The location of Walker itself is very pretty. Lots for everyone to do.

Comfortable beds, hot breakfast, very clean. Fished all day and looked forward to sleeping there. Will visit again. Try other restaraunts in town besides the one next to hotel. Little on the expensive side but good food. Public boat launch about 1.5 miles north in Walker City Park. They have a building to clean fish in. Nice trip!

Was in Walker, MN for the weekend, during a business trip. Country Inn was a nice and quiet place. Staff was super nice and helpful. Only complaint was the buscuits and gravy-->Home made gravy would to nice to the "can taste" gravy. Good assortment of breakfast foods otherwise. Pool was nice and clean.

Just an FYI-->reading some of the other comments-->If you need an escalator? or maybe you mean an elelvator to go up ONE floor then this is not the hotel for you. Also the hallways are nice and wide....no cleaning cart can block you unless you only know how to walk into it ;)~

The hotel is an older property. Check in was a long process, not efficient. No escalator, so we had to use the stairs, where a member of staff was cleaning and did not move when we tugged with out luggage.
Room was fine and clean.
Breakfast could do way better. Scrambled eggs came from microwave power package, so not so tasteful.

Aside from a rather "northern-y" lobby, this place would remind you of just another average motel with ugly in room "high efficiency" flourescent light bulbs and long hallways in which every noise is heard from within the rooms. I find it amazing in this day and age when there are a lot of seniors using places like this, that there was no elevator and no handicapped door buttons for the outside entrance. The breakfast was blah blah - the usual + the omnipresent scrambled eggs. We have gotten to hate the air-conditioners in places like this which keep you awake with the on-off-compressor/fan noise. Its clean and acceptable but that's about it. There is a lovely hotel on the lake that I would stay at next time.
