My father stayed there the last week in July, Lady at front desk was RUDE and CRUDE, We tried to call many times the day of arrival, No answer, She claimed phones were out, After check in she went out and smoked and the phones kept ringing, I'm tinking she needs a new workplace, Motel is clean and nice, But the hired help needs sweeked, I spoke with manager later, Very nice, But good luck when you check in if you get the mean one. Also the room keys did not always work, The nasty one claimed my father kept it with his cell phone and that ruins them. What a joke!

A little ways from Downtown, Excellent condition, clean, friendly management and staff.

Excellent value, on-site breakfast had some variety and was plentiful.

Room has small fridge, micro wave, coffee maker.

We were on back side toward lake, quiet...

photos on website are very representative of property

Would definately stay again.

Booked the hotel through Travelocity (which was fine). Our room was ready, spacious and clean. The staff was terrific -- very friendly and competent. No complaints about the hotel at all. It's very convenient to the bike trails in Walker. The place was pretty empty when we got there on Tuesday July 5, but it filled up quickly as the week went on. Even when the place was full it was very quiet.

Very friendly front desk staff, enjoyed the fresh cookies. We had a non-smoking Jacuzzi suite on the first floor. Room was nice and bed was comfy (Husband thought it was a little to soft.) Only compliant is that our room was next to smoking room and we are very sensitive to the smell of smoke, we could smell smoke in the room and when we opened the door to leave, the hallway frequently smelled of smoke.

The majority of the time we go to Walker we stay at this hotel. The rooms are comfy and reasonable. The front desk is just awesome! One time we were in the suite and our 2 yr old daughter locked herself in the suite bed room on accident. They were wonderful in helping get her out! The lady that works in the breakfast room is a gem! We always leave her a nice tip because she goes above and beyond in her customer service. She always remembers us.

FYI - this hotel is no longer run by Carlson, it's independent and is now called Country Inn Walker. The rooms need updating, the bed was soft and the pillow VERY soft, almost like there was no pillow at all. Also, you could hear the doors being slammed throughout the hallway. That being said, the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. There's was coffee and cookies available throughout the day/night. Breakfast was standard, make your own waffles, yogurt, instant oatmeal, biscuits and gravy. It was an okay stay for one night.
