We stopped at the lake while driving from Fargo to Duluth. It’s a very nice spot. I would definitely recommend spending some time here

Lots of little gems can be found around Leech Lake, small parks and diners with lake views. It also has several resorts that offer year-round outdoor activities. Definitley a nice place for an outdoor vacation.

Whole week was raining, windy, and cold - unfortunately fishing was miserable. Hopefully next time we come will be in summer!

This is the 3rd largest lake in Minnesota and although the name is not appealing, it is a beautiful lake to visit. The fishing is great. The scenery’s wonderful. Eagles and ducks and geese and Loons share the lake while you fish for Walleye and Northern and perch and bass. The lake is full of wild rice and if you come this time of year you can watch the native Americans harvest it from their canoes. It’s amazing. Walker, MN is on the shores of the lake and is very convenient and a well equipped resort town close by. There are many resorts on the lake. We stay at Anderson Cove which is very nice and comfortable! Come in September and the rates are low and the mosquitoes much less of a nuisance! It’s great up here.

Stayed here for a few days in August. My husband and I hired a guide to take us fishing one day, caught our limit on walleye. Leech Lake and Walker are absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to another vacation.

Great Lake. Huge. We had planned to eat lunch at a restaurant where we’d eaten before. Our captain had checked locally to be sure it was open. After a beautiful, lengthy boat ride without finding it, we stopped at a shore bait shop to learn it had closed! Back to land for lunch.

Beautiful beach for families with many views and spots to enjoy. For fishing know your lake before you go speeding around, lots of rocky areas. Great to lake to fish for walleye, northerns, perch, muskies...

Lots of walleyes, and this year we found the perch again. Nice bays for boating and water fun, also. We have stayed at a few different resorts and Fish morning, noon & night.

Most fresh water fish are caught daily. Large lake so a guide is recommended if you are not familiar with the lake. Many large bays make is possible to find calm waters even on windy days.

This area is a hidden paradise. You are far enough from the Twin Cities that you will not find the crowds. Just a nice spot to get away from everything. Thanks
