The building is right on the Mississippi River, where the river is wide and called Lake Pepin. The classroom was standing room only for the excellent education about eagles. The educator for our group was Bridget, and she was Excellent! The educator was well-prepared and really knew her stuff. Bridget handled the crowd well and spoke clearly which held the interest of old and young. There were plenty of articles that got passed around - a (fake) eagle talon, scat, photos; the presentation was very engaging. The gift shop is small, and the windows are HUGE. We spotted an eagle flying overhead - and heard the resident eagles screetch their loudest screetches. The resident eagles are photogenic, and the handlers frequently have an eagle in the lobby area specifically for tourist to have their photo taken with the live eagle. I found this place wonderfully educational. Thank you Bridget!
