“Beautiful Park”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

The park was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking. Very clean. There were lots of trails so bring your walking shoes. The falls were lovely. We hiked out to the lake which was also gorgeous! I hope to return!

“Excellent hiking”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

This is a fun place to bring the family camping. Of course you need to make a reservation. The falls are beautiful. I can remember taking a cold shower in them a few springs ago. It was very lovely.

“one of many waterfalls on the north shore”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Great rest area, short walk to a great waterfall any time of year. Plenty of deer on hand at the bird feeders, and plenty of winter birds to watch. Great picnic area

“Hiking in winter”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Its a short distance up to Gooseberry from Superior Shores. And while summer and fall is always way overcrowded, winter hiking is very peaceful. Nice hike through snow down to lake. watching the ice climbers tackle the ice on the falls. Lots of wildlfe moving during the day.

This is a must see stop on your drive up the north shore -- any season of the year. Excellent hiking trails in the area as well.
