“Awesome Lighthouse”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We always enjoy visiting historical sites on our trips. Self guided tours of the lighthouse and the keepers house were available. Allow yourself time to see the video and the grounds. I would have liked to spend a little more time here, but we had ridden our bikes and needed to head back to our car.

“Great State Park”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Stayed at the Split Rock State Park for 4 nights with teen daughter and all we could say was Wow! Brought our kayaks and was blown away by the lake and the sights. Campground was great and can't say enough about the entire trip.

“Great history”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

This park is a great stop not only for the tour of the light house and keeper's house but for a history of Lake Superior in general. The short film and guided tour are definitely work the time. The folks who staff this park obviously genuinely care about giving guests a look into life on the lake in the early 1900's. Make this a destination if you are touring the north shore.

“This is a very clean park.”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We were only here for a couple of hours but thought it was very nice. There were walking trails, bike trails, camping, and of course Lake Superior and Split Rock Light House

“Worth the trek”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

We walked the entire path & all 146 (I think) steps down to the lake. Wonderful. Very peaceful, great photo ops, and the kiddos loved climbing on the rocks. If you can handle the hike, well worth it.
