The Coho was close to where we were staying so stopped here for lunch one day. It is advertised as a café and bakery though when we were there we found their bakery offerings lacking. There is a wine list and specialty coffees too. Staff is very friendly and service is relatively quick. We ordered sandwiches for our lunch (blt & reuben) which were good but not great. Another evening we ordered a carryout pizza which was average at best. The prices are quite high for what you get. My impression is that this place thinks pretty highly of itself but doesn't really live up to the hype & doesn't really provide the value it portrays.

Great take-out pizza! Very nice to grab a pie late in the evening and toss it in the oven. Short walking distance also.

The food here is awesome. On different occasions we have had the pancakes, egg beaters, salads, and salmon sandwiches. Every time, we would agree the food is great. My husband and I ordered pancakes and egg beaters and shared. That was a perfect combination for breakfast.

Sorry, this was a mixed experience. The salad was good but the strawberry dressing was not great. The Fish Plate Appetizer was good - especially the fruit which was fresh and delicious. Main course -- ordered Salmon and got Walleye/Pickerel without any word of explanation. The dish was over-salted, as was most of the food. The Chicken entree was also way too salty. The restaurant was very busy and so we did not receive good service; the young waiter knew very little about serving. We had to ask for cutlery and ask for cream for the coffee...

Usually showing up at a restaurant thirty minutes prior to closing ensures a bit of sluggish, or eager to clean up and get out, attitudes. Happily, this was not the case with our weekend visit. Our server Laura was very attentive and professional. Really enjoyed their maple outmeal bread, and their pizza was tasty and ample for the price. Certainly will be a highlight again when visiting Tofte.
