This was our second time at Bluefin Bay. The unit we stayed in was 2 bed/2 bath. A bit worn, but updated bathrooms which were very nice. Adequate kitchen. Small deck. It's all about sitting right on Lake Superior and that was 100% amazing. Tennis court was very nice as well as Coho Cafe (service needs some attention) and pool areas are nice too.

Room Tip: Wished our unit was ground level so that I could walk out my slider to see the sunrise.

We drove from Chicago to Bluefin Bay and altho the drive was beautiful, it was quite long. Once we got to Duluth, the scenery just opened up and it was spectacular. I wish we could have stayed longer as the accomodations were nice, albeit, to close for comfort with the guests next door. The beds were confortable, the linens were nice and soft and the room was fairly spacious. The A/C was not working properly. The room was quite warm. Our favorite part was the restaurant, The Bluefin Grille. Amazing food, friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful views and well priced. The wine selection was great. It was definitely worth the drive to Minnesota. Wish we could have discovered more of the area but intend to some time in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms are labeled A, B & C. B & C share a hallway on the second floor. A does not. I would h...

This is an Oasis in the Northern Wilderness Luxury in the middle of the far reaches of Lake Superior. Here is a touch of European care in Northern Canada. And the best Burger I ever had. We were amazed when we happened on this Jewel. Spa Restaurant and accommodations that match the best you can find truly a 5 star resort in my mind. A place for all Seasons.

We took advantage of a seniors rate. Our room faced the hillside and met our needs.
Comfy bed and nice linens. Missed not having a view of the big lake though. We used the
Grill and microwave to make a few meals even w/o a kitchen :). No AC and it was warm
During our stay. We used our fan all the time. Lots of activities are included but we did not
Use them. Free s'mores fixins. Coho restaurant pricey and it took awhile for our personal
Pizzas to arrive. They were good. WiFi didn't work a big part of the time. We would get a
Lake view next time. Didn't use the pools. Outdoor one wasn't busy when we passed by
Several times.

Room Tip: Get a lake view if you can. Road noise with hillside rooms.

Came for an R and R after planning and arranging a reunion. It was wonderful to enjoy the weather which was absolutely perfect, the unit that was very nice and the view that was out of this world. I don't know of a nicer place on Lake Superior and we have stayed in quite a few over the years. Had a fabulous dinner in the dining room an will be back for our anniversary in a few months.

Room Tip: Check out the diagrams of the units and pick what you like. We like the corner suites and the Grand...

My husband and I stayed her for two nights on the romance package. The room was amazing. we had a Grand Superior Suite. There was a fireplace in the room, a whirlpool tub, two person shower, and the most beautiful view of Lake Superior I've ever seen. The hotel was clean and the service was great. We were surprised when the hotel provided complimentary campaign upon our arrive which was not in our package. Also, the was a ton of activities. Each night there was a campfire with smores. Also, there was daily activities like hiking and kayaking. The only negative thing I might say is that housekeeping does not freshen up your room between nights.

Room Tip: Sign up for activities right away. The popular ones fill up fast.

I had a fabulous trip to Bluefin Bay. I love that the activites are included in the room rates. I took full advantage of all activites. I suggest to others to do the same. It is totally worth every penny. I fell asleep at night to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. It was so relaxing. I even enjoyed two consecutive nights of meteor showers while there. Check out the spa....well worth it.
