I got back yesterday from a one night stay at the Cramim hotel. Each part of the visit was truly better than the next. First of all the food. I didn't try one bad thing. Everything was fresh and delicious with plenty of variety and generous amounts (TONS of gourmet cheeses at breakfast for example). They also used such creative combinations and interesting ingredients and produce if you're into that. The service was INCREDIBLE. Stav from reception spent 20 minutes helping me retroactively transfer the charges from the original credit card to a different one.For all you nursing moms: I asked in advance if they would be able to refrigerate expressed milk and they knew exactly what I was talking about and readily agreed, instructing me to call room service to come retrieve the milk for me. I called the front desk when I was ready and someone knocked on my door literally 20 seconds later. I mentioned to the restaurant staff that I would love to know how they made one the dishes (a really cool kind of risotto) and Lior the head chef had one of the chefs from dinner sit down and explain everything to me so I can make it myself. I unfortunately don't remember the specific chef's name but he was great. Everyone else from the room service to waiters to spa staff was just as helpful and professional. Some names I remember are Gal and Ahmed from reception, Shoval the bellboy, and a waiter whose name I believe was Michael. The room was also really clean and spacious with lots of amenities even though I got the most standard room (huge bathtub plus a very big very private bathroom, nespresso machine, huge windows and incredible view, balcony, seating area...). Overall a really great experience.
Some cons: the actual facilities could have been planned better. The changing and shower area for the pool and spa is nowhere near big enough and not private enough. The outdoor pool and pool area are pretty cramped but there is plenty of seating. I also saw minor signs of wear and tear throughout the hotel like some door handles that needed to be replaced but nothing major or "icky" feeling. Finally when I went to Cramim last August when they were at full capacity it was significantly less relaxing and more hectic with the service not being at the same attentive level, but I did not encounter any of that this time. So my advice would be not to go at their busiest times. Also last time I was there we stayed in the vista suite but found to our chagrin that they installed a huge TV on a big TV stand right in the middle of the room that blocked the actual "vista" from the bed and from most other points in the room so I would recommend just getting either a standard room which was just as nice or a different suite. The spa is beautiful and the treatments are good but not as good as the ones I've gotten at other five-star hotels. I've heard to request Anya though.
This trip was just what I needed, thank you Cramim staff!
