5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

Hotel Cramim is a new Spa hotel located in Kyryat Anavim, near Jerusalem, Israel. The hotel is well designed, with attension to every tiny detail. The rooms are beautiful, causy, with a great view. The food is EXCELLENT! and the spa rooms are up to date with professional workers.
In short- RUN!

We spent a day in this newly opened resort hotel. The room was specious and included full bath and a terrace with a magnificent view to the south west. The room was very clean. My wife enjoyed the spa while I enjoyed the wine bar that specializes in wineries of the region. The service was very hospitable and willing. We shall be back.

Our stay @cramim was one of our best experiences. The staff is highly qualified and dedicated for the guest's requests. The food and beverages were amazing and the spa is to die for. The room he luxurious amenities and a great balcony for outdoor relaxing. We'll come back for sure!

A new hotel, 40 mins drive from Tel Aviv and 15 mins drive from the old city of Jerusalem. It's defined by Isrotel as one of their best hotel but it really doesn't. There is no atmosphere there, the view they keep talking about, simply doesn't exist, food was above average, but Spa was way below. It's very expensive for what you get, and there are better options.

We just came back from a great break at the Cramim. We had spend a few days in Tel Aviv and it was lovely to get there, lie by the pool and relax.

The position is excellent - about 30 minutes' drive from Ben Gurion airport, and 20 -25 minutes from Jerusalem (probably also just under an hour to central Tel Aviv, and just over an hour to the Dead Sea). It's also near some excellent restaurants, including the amazing Rami's Kitchen. I would definitely recommend getting a car and NOT going half board (unless you are strictly kosher), because the hotel dinner is expensive and nowhere near as good as the restaurants around. Also, you might feel a bit trapped without the car.

The hotel is beautifully designed. I read the review from the disappointed lady a few down and I have to say she must be very hard to please. The view from our room out over the Judean hills was magnificent, and we found it extremely beautiful and peaceful. The room itself (we stayed in the Cramim Deluxe) was spacious, quiet and elegant and the bed was extremely comfy.

The pool is a little small but very nice, with nice lilos to lie on and the sun loungers are comfy, with people going round putting on mattresses and giving you towels. The poolside food was also good. There are also other areas with comfy chairs where you can sit in the sun; the indoor pool was next to a sauna and jacuzzi- these all looked good but we didn't use them.

Our slight quibbles were over the service, which was not perfect - eg at breakfast (which was a great Israeli breakfast as you'd expect), we had to wait 15 minutes for a tea and a coffee (they give you proper coffee, rather than filter, but I think this caused a backlog which they need to sort). One evening there was only 1 meat option on room service; and the waiting staff were a little haphazard. However, this is a new hotel and I imagine this will get sorted -the front of house team were excellent.

In sum, is this one of the best hotels in the world, a Mandarin Oriental style hotel? Well, no. Is it beautiful and very luxurious? Yes. And at the price, it is quite reasonable (we paid a little over £200 per night). It is one of the best (or perhaps the best) hotels in Israel. Would definitely go back.
