My family and I have been going to Nelsons for nearly 30 years. We stopped there today (on the way back to Minneapolis from Taylors Falls) and the ice cream portions seem to have gotten larger this year. A "child's" portion is around $3.50 and it has 6 scoops of ice cream on the cone or in the cup. And, they are kind with having several flavors in one cup/cone. They have several dozen flavors to tempt you.
NOTE: You MUST pay in cash so come prepared.
As the child's cone is too large for one person, you may want to consider splitting it.
They now have waffle cones (which are an extra $2, I believe) and the ice cream overflows from the top of the waffle cone.
Nelsons only serves ice cream.
This stop is a MUST if you are in Stillwater.
