We recently stayed at Albatross and although the cottage was an older style cottage it was presented well and had great views particularly from the large balcony. The wood fire BBQ we found great to use at the sheltered back , this made up for the lack of an oven which would have been useful.
The café below was great for coffee and evening drinks , the breakfast/lunch and dinner menus as did the food we saw looked good and it had a good feel about it - the view was very good but not as great as the one we had as we were higher up the hill.
On the way from St. Helens we picked up some oysters from the farm "lease 65" on the road in.
