This is our favourite spot for Indian cuisine. We recently returned there again to sample their delightful Indian food.
It was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy without being full. As has become our custom, we selected a table for four in the covered courtyard area at the front of the restaurant. We tend to avoid inside tables because experience has shown us that if the restaurant is busy, the inside area can be quite noisy.
Service at our table was excellent and attentive. Before taking our orders, the server explained the night’s specials and then waited patiently whilst we made our meal choices.
Our dishes and accompaniments were served soon after our orders were placed. As we had previously experienced, the tables are rather small and with four main courses, side dishes, breads, glasses and wine bottles, things tend to become somewhat crowded on the table.
Each of our dishes were flavoursome and pleasant. However, the two chicken tikka masala dishes were lacking a little in spices compared to previous experiences.
In summary, this was another pleasant dining experience at the Raj on Taj, Hyde Park. The Indian dishes were of a good quality, service was excellent and the prices for food and corkage were moderate.
