Campwin Beach House Bed and Breakfast

This is such a lovely place, and the owners are so welcoming and nice. We booked only one night on our way to Brisbane but would have loved to stay a lot longer from the moment we stepped into the door. It's probably the best place I've ever stayed, so cosy but spacey and full of little details that make your stay a memorable one. Great breakfast, great beds, good shower...Everything was so good, I cannot think of one thing I didn't like. Robyn's artwork makes it even more enjoyable. Hope to return someday to this special place.

what can i say, we both combine 34 years of hospitality experience but what we found here was the perfect sense of hospitality. it seems like robyn travelled a lot herself and combined everything what you could possibly ask for in her little b&b haven. beside of the artful touch that robyn gave to this place its located on a wonderful stretch of land.whale watching incl if you stay here in the right season. the apartment is appointed very nicely , big tv, fabulous dvd collection, i pod station beautiful linen a well equipped kitchen. the breakkie was beautiful, fresh seasonal fruits, organic eggs and a huge tea collection. what makes the different to most hotels is the personal individual touch given to this accommodation! the moment we stepped in, we already had to regret that we only booked in here for one night! do yourself a favour and stay longer!we would come back mos def!

Room Tip: there is only one room, so hurry and don't miss out on it!

After a beautiful weekend in this cottage we feel recharged, full of energy, and ready to conquer the world. The cottage is full of positive energy, Spotless, and totally relaxing.
walking along the beach just completed our beautiful holiday.
Robyn Johnny, and Steve have created the perfect environment for a relaxing holiday.
Robyns artwork is also breathtaking and is featured in the cottage.

We have stayed in many B&B's in Australia and overseas and this one is by far the best we have stayed in! The hosts are absolutely lovely, generous and accomodating - they are welcoming, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The accomodation is a 2 bedroom unit which is not attached to the main house and is everything you could want in a holiday house - the beds are comfortable, it is spotlessly clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the breakfast hamper included is delicious! Everything about this B&B goes that little bit above and beyond and there are lots of charming little extras to make your stay special (like chocolates in the fridge, fresh nuts in the shell with a nutcracker on the bench and a lovely tea and coffee selection).

I have saved the best for last - the location!!! This place is right on the beach (like a 20m walk from house, across lawn and you are on the sand) and when we were sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean eating our breakfast we spotted a whale swimming past!! It really doesn't get much more special than that - and our ever accomodating hosts came and gave us a pair of binoculars so we could enjoy the show.

I could not speak highly enough of this lovely B&B - it is spotlessly clean, comfortable and a very special place to stay for the night (as we did) or a whole week's holiday! If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Mackay do yourself a favour and book in here - even if it is for just a night you will feel relaxed and refreshed for your onward journey.

We cant wait to go back to this little piece of paradise - fingers crossed we see some more whales!!

we were travelling back down the coast from airlie and wanted somewhere before 1770 so that we didn't have to stay in rockhampton (not my favourite place). for the service, friendliness and hospitality just read the other reviews. we like to walk so the beach walk from campwin to sarina was picturesque - it was deserted and such a juxtaposition to our most recent experience in airlie. the sunsets from just up on the point looking to grasstree beach were some of the best we saw. there are no shops, restaurants etc in campwin which make it even more attractive foir that special feeling of seclusion.

We couldnt have chosen a better place to stay. Campwin Beach House was just lovely from the time we arrived. The property has 2 bedrooms, full size kitchen, dining area and living area as well as a laundry. There is also a BBQ outside the front door. The fridge was very well stocked, which was appreciated and devoured during our stay. Fishing equipment was available for our use. The beach was a very short stroll down the boardwalk to the back of the house, across a lawn area and onto the beach. The house was immaculately clean, and the extra touches and personal artworks were just lovely. Robyn was always helpful and friendly. Nothing was a problem for her. We have not had a family holiday for many years. Campwin Beach House allowed us to have a great time and relax. We were able to do day trips without any hassle at all. There were DVDs to watch and board games to play. We were sad to have to come home at the end of our stay. We Highly reccommend this accommodation, and would love to go back.

A family of 4 we had plenty of room, spotlessly clean, great friendly hosts ( without being intrusive) well stocked kitchen and the supplies and treats were 5 star. Don't stay any where but here when looking in the MAckay region!
