After loving our stay in jackaroo sydney we decided to check out mission beach. The hostel is in a beautiful location in the heart of the rainforest. Good sized pool, free bikes to rent and free good wifi which is always a bonus! The rooms are a good size and the kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you need. Jade the owner is a legend really welcoming and will bend over backwards for you! A must stay!

I loved my stay at Jackaroo, even though it rained the whole time! The staff were great, the atmosphere was awesome, and it is just a lovely place to stay and recharge your batteries surrounded by stunning scenery.

Hello out there, looking for a different hostel with a great atmosphere? Dont look any further! This place i situated about 15min by car from the city center, they have a bus which is free from the hostel which takes you there plenty, plenty of times everyday. You can also buy some things in the reception a rent a free bike. The wifi is free as well as coffee and the. The pool outside is more than enough and they have hamocks where you can sleep beside the pool. Its situated in the forest with a great view! Nothing bad to add except that i should stayed there longer!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Jackaroos! It was in the jungle and there are a lot of places you can just hang out (lots of hammocks!, nice big lawn, pool, communal area). Everything was very clean and I enjoyed to cook in the kitchen. Everything is kind of outside with a roof. In the dry season there is a outdoor cinema every evening! In the wet season they show a movie every night in the communal area on a big "screen". They have a bus running quite often to the supermarket and some other places. That was really cool! Some disadvantages are: no airconditioner!, a lot of mosquitos!
Over all very good and I would recommend it to everyone coming to Mission Beach :)

A big treehouse with an open common area and beautiful surroundings . The staff living-in its very friendly and helpful. During the day it's the perfect place for chilling out: good swimming pool, garden, hammocks, and stunning views. A great atmosphere at night, a very social hostel, there's always something up.
It is a different place to stay, in the middle of the rain forest. Plan to stay at least a couple of nights and go swimming to the desert Bingil Bay's beach or trek into the jungle. It's quite far from Mission Beach but they have a free shuttle and worth it for the unique experience.

This is simply the best hostel in mission beach. The staff are excellent - fun, friendly and up for getting drunk every night. Free wine on Friday is a fantastic night (its not goon!!) And its so great to relax in the rainforest during the day. There are free buses into town and the rooms are really spacious. You definitely need bug spray or you’ll get eaten alive though! Everyone needs to stay here as it was probably the hostel with the atmosphere on the East coast!
