Clifton Gardens Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed March 19, 2014

I regularly travel for business and search out special places to stay over the average hotel/motel room. Sometimes its worth the search and other times its not, I am happy to say that seeking out Clifton Gardens was a rewarding experience. The property is fantastic, relaxed, quite and everything you need, a comfortable bed, clean and tidy and rooms, great breakfast and includes a great selection of cd's to listen to as you work or relax. Your hosts John and Kay make you feel very welcome and offer advice on anything you need in Orange. Do yourself a favour and stay here its just terrific. Alisdair

We've just come back from two nights in Orange staying at Clifton Gardens. It was my birthday & I wanted to eat at Lolli Redini - I'm so glad we stayed rather than driving all the way from Sydney & back. Clifton Gardens really was like a home away from home. Everything the reviews say us true. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, Kay & John were absolutely hospitable - every detail has been considered & the generous breakfast was delicious!
We would certainly stay again.
Thank you Kay and John.

The Orange district is one of the most interesting regions of country NSW. The area is lyrically beautiful, the town historic, yet growing and affluent and for those interested in excellent food and wine, these are to be found in abundance. Clifton Gardens is the ideal base to enjoy this lovely town. Even in the summer heat, the leafy garden in an elevated position with pool and extensive views provides tranquil respite. The suites are spacious, private and comfortable and John and Kay the perfect hosts; they provide a delicious breakfast, detailed knowledge of where to eat and what to see and a capacity to make one feel at home. B and Bs do not come better than Clifton Gardens.

Room Tip: Both excellent

We have just stayed a night at this property over the weekend and were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the setting, the meticulous up-keep of the gardens and property, and the very fine attention to detail in both the rooms. Every area in each of the two suites were very clean and well cared-for. Needless to mention the hosts were just the perfect balance of attentiveness and hospitality. They made us feel very welcome and relaxed in their beautiful property. The layout of the two rooms are ideal for a family travelling together as we could relax in the large lounge of the main suite together. This was also where we ate a delicious breakfast together the next morning, which consisted of freshly squeezed orange juice, a refreshing mix of the freshest fruit of the season, and bacon and eggs. Overall, we all had a great experience and will definitely be back.
Tip: Clifton Gardens is a little bit out of town (i.e. the centre of Orange), but it is close to the fruit orchards and convenient to some wineries that are positioned a little out of the way. Anyway, nothing was further than 15-20 mins drive around the area.

I do extensive travel each week as part of my business. My main priority is to always find the best accommodation so I can feel "at home". I must say Clifton Gardens top my list. Clean and homey, beautiful grounds, delicious Salmon quiche for dinner or rather supper, scrumptious breakfast and the best hosts....what more could I ask for? John & Kay...you made my stay a memorable one. I really appreciate your warm hospitality and care. I will definitely be staying with you if I have to do an overnight in Orange. Thank you.

Tranquil location, spacious and comfortable suite, great hosts. John and Kay were friendly, welcoming and helpful and made our stay in Orange one to remember. If we get the chance to return to the area this is where we will stay.

Room Tip: We had the Winter Suite and it is very private and roomy.

We had the winter suite with a separate living area. It's clean and cosy and we had a really nice, relaxing stay. Kay and John made some really great suggestions of what to do and where to dine in Orange. They had a beautiful garden and stargazing at night is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.
