“Spring Lake Park Gem”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

Quiet, casual, family-style restaurant. Have never been disappointed with our selections here. We tend to order sandwich/burger items, but they do have a full menu selection. Everything going by being delivered to other tables ALWAYS looks really appetizing.

“just a little too white trash”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

Everyone kept telling us to have dinner here. We finally did (5 years after moving here) and were welcomed by outdated decor, gigantic menu and a bunch of old people enjoying dinner. It was slow service... Oh and our server (previous/current meth head??) flirted with a customer and then ate something off his plate. We saw her out the back of the restaurant smoking when we left, with the customer. Overall it was gross. I will not go back.

“The place to go for a good home-cooked meal”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

Keys Cafe is an institution of sorts. It's a local phenomenon where the menu reminds you of the comfort foods you grew up with. For example, they serve a turkey dinner that will make you think you just arrived home for Thanksgiving. Breakfasts are wonderful, with some of the best bacon anywhere in town. Their bakery is top-notch as well.
The decor is dated - not your trendy upscale place - more like the character of a neighborhood eatery. The menu is dated, too, but I think that's what keeps bringing people back, along with good portion sizes, great service, and excellent value. We've been once-a-month regulars at this Keys for 10+ years and have never been disappointed. Definitely worth a try if you've not been there before.

“Check out their day old bakery items & crazy low prices”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

I have not been to this restaurant in ages.
My friend ordered a sandwich & salad combo & we were impressed by the large size of it. It also came with a half slice of pie or a variety of other desserts. It sure seemed like a good deal.
Our other friend ordered breakafst type food. The bread was so thick and lightly toasted, as she had requested. It too seemed like a very good value.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The bacon was a thick slice of tasty heaven. The bun was a home made bun. The only downside was that I wished they had grilled or toasted the bun. I don't like it when it's plain & dry. There was BBQ sauce on the side, which helped. My order was large enough to take home half of it. It reheated well in the toaster oven for todays lunch.
My order also came with coleslaw. It was tasty, but I prefer a sweeter version.
At the check out counter, they had a basket with day old goodies. They were huge & only 50 cents each. What a wonderful find & what a steal. A fun way to end our lunch outing.

Great food. Especially when you are missing home. The breakfast is the best.
