“idyllic northern minnesota experience in a comfortable and beautifully hosted B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2010

A quiet and private northern woods setting along the Baptism River with all the amenities - except those that distract from the peace and solitude that one needs on a "get-away." Wonderfully welcoming with only 4 guest rooms, this beautiful lodge-like B&B is the perfect escape to skies that are truly black at night -except for stars - rooms and beds that are very quiet and comfortable, and a wonderful breakfast served with a fantastic cup of morning coffee. I will return for a great place to stay after a hiking in the gorgeous state parks of northern Minnesota. But next time I will make use of the quaint finish sauna at this beautiful B&B.

Very quiet and relaxing right on the river if you have the windows open you can hear it all through the night. Building was very beautiful log calming atmospher. I suprised my girlfriend on her birthday by bringing here and would highly suggest it to anyone looking for a great place to get away. Breakfast was amazing stuffed french toast. Also we stayed in the suite very luxurious and spacious wonderful fireplace and big jet tub that fits two comfortably.

Nestled in the woods, near the Baptism River, on the north shore of Lake Superior, sits the Baptism River Inn B & B. It has been from the first visit, our Number 1 B & B. Not every B & B turns out to be a gem. Trust me, this one is. Make a reservation with full assurance that you will love this place.

The North Shore of Lake Superior is a great way to spend two or three days. My wife and I were at this Bed and Breakfast midweeke for two nights, the rooms and breakfasts were great! It's a greart central location for seeing all the sites that the North Shore has to offer. We especially loved the short hike to the Baptism River. It was hard for us to leave the river and all that this B&B had to offer. We'll be back.

We happened to find this B&B by luck, and were amazed that we found a vacancy with short notice. We were more amazed when we found out how beautiful the building, our room, the incredibly cute sauna, and the breakfast was. The cabin is very well built, and combines a rustic quality with state of the art accomodations. Andy and Lura are very kind hosts. This is a way better value with way more luxury than many similar priced accomodations along Highway 61.

Our room, Northern Lights, was very clean and the antiques and other furnishings were very tastefully chosen. The sauna was like a fairyland cottage tucked neatly in the trees on the way to the Baptism river. The walk along the river was awesome and scenic. Trout must be available in the many pools by the rocks.

The cookies and breakfast were very good and hit the spot.

We look forward to returning and experiencing the other seasons of the year at this fine B&B.
