My wife and I have stayed at the Baptism River B&B eight times. I can't give any higher review than that. The area is quiet. The night sky is brilliant with stars. The rooms are very confortable. The balconies are a great place to read. The sauna is relaxing. Breakfasts are always delicious and it is fun to talk with fellow guests. The location is a perfect base for day trips in every direction.

Quiet, peaceful inn on the river. Great place to relax and get away from it all. Excellent breakfast and table talk with the other guests and Lura. Close to all the waterfalls and lake shore. Loved the big jetted spa tube. Just the ticket for relaxing after a long hike.

I never make a reservation anywhere without reading the reviews. When you look at the many reviews for Baptism River Inn or if you stay there and read comments left by visitors, you know that this place is everything you want in a B and B. It's got it all: location, friendliness, food, incredible rooms, nearby restaurants and sight seeing, etc. Plus the Inn Keepers are as accommodating as it gets. This is the only place I think of when I plan a trip to the North Shore of beautiful Minnesota.

Room Tip: Thought all the rooms are wonderful, spend the extra money and stay in the Suite. Talk about luxury...

My wife and I stayed at Baptism River Inn for two nights immediately followings our wedding. What we wanted was an affordable place to relax for a few days after all of our wedding business, and it was perfect. We stayed in the Evergreen Suite and enjoyed the beautiful sleeping arrangements, 2-person whirlpool tub, quiet nights by the fireplace, and breakfast served to our room. It was a very quiet and relaxing stay.

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's during our 27 years together and the Baptism River B&B is definitely in the top tier. Starts with a terrific location, right next to one of the prettiest rivers on the North Shore. We only wish it had been bit warmer to do a swim/sauna/Jacuzzi trifecta! The sauna was a special experience; a wood fired, finnish style in a unique setting. It was so easy to fire up and use, we were surprised the other guests did not take advantage of it. Very close to some of the best hiking in the state, either at Tetteguche State Park or on the Superior Hiking Trail. The Sunset Room was spacious and we loved the opportunity to spread out and relax. Lura's breakfast was wonderful, but she also provided us a great starter breakfast for the day we had to leave early. Lura's recommendations for dinner's and hikes were spot on. Recommend to anyone needing a getaway on Minnesota's North Shore.

Room Tip: All rooms have a great view

We had an extraordinary stay. We have been North Shore magnets for a decade and this find was a jewel. It was peaceful and beautiful...the hike along the river, admiring it's beauty and sounds took our breath away! And the outdoor Sauna was a treat. You took care of us, Baptism Inn...Thank you!

This was our first experience with a B&B and the bar is set very high now. It's one of the most beautiful and serene settings I've ever stayed in. The sound of the river was so peaceful and calming. The breakfasts were 5 star quality. Lura (we didn't get to meet Andy) created such a friendly, easy going environment. I've already recommended it to several people, and we'll definitely be back!

Room Tip: We loved the River Room because we could hear the rush of the waters and could sit on the balcony an...
