“Wow! Spectacular!!”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

This park is amazing!! With several waterfalls within the canyon and tremendous views, this park is one of the best on the North Shore. Once at the falls at the end of the canyon, keep going upstream. Another small canyon comes into view a ways up, with more small falls. Beautiful!!!

“Naturally Amazing!”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

We spent a few hours hiking around the Temperance River, the gorges, Falls, and State Park. We hiked back to the hidden falls and it was amazing to be so secluded in Nature. We spent some time just sitting and enjoying the rushing water and marveling at it's beauty. Definitely time well spent!

“Snow shoe adventure”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

It was pretty warm out so the snow was soft, but easy to walk if you had snow shoes. Stay on the path...the snow is very deep if you step off. Lots of deer to see!

“Amazing display of Waterfall and Rock!”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

The Temperance River has literally carved out a fantastic rock formation on it's way to Lake Superior. We always stop here to hike down river for a view. It is a quick stop because you just pull off the road and the best view is a short distance from the road. You can also hike on a trail inland. I am not sure if you need a park sticker or not, we always have one so we don't pay attention. You are amazed at the power of the falls and the refreshed by the cool moist air!

“A must see”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We got an great view of the rugged beauty of the area at this park. Just off Hwy 61 and within a short distance massive amounts of water from the river which was at a higher elevation came surging through a twisted gorge and over several waterfalls. The water fanned out to form a cove inlet to join Lake Superior.
