Lunch Buffett was amazing. $10.95 and every item was great. Baklava for dessert comes with it. Coffee was excellent. Great service. Hidden in the union square building without signage. But what a gem!

I recently went to lunch at Christo's in St. Paul's downtown Union Depot. The buffet was one of the best I have ever been to. The carrot soup was delicious and the meat for the gyros was very tender and the seasoning was great. The baklava served for desert was a great ending to the meal. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Flavorful Greek dishes, friendly and attentive service, in a unique venue. Railroad and/or history buffs will appreciate a look around the renovated Union Station. We especially enjoyed the lamb shank - huge portions yet extremely tender. Very reasonably-priced entrees.

This restaurant is a true find and jewel in St Paul. Unique, good and really reasonable.

The Union Depot has just been renovated and is returning as a true train, transit and event destination. The facility is spectacular, a mini Grand Central, but in the center is a restaurant that is surprisingly good. Christos is well known as one of the very good Greek and Mediterranean restaurants, family owned, with the Minneapolis and Minnetonka locations very popular. But the Union Depot location may be the best. If this place was in Manhattan it would be packed all the time and cost 3-4 times the cost. (Grand Central has several high end restaurants...this place matches them) The gyros, sliced tenderloin, as an entrée includes soup or a salad and potatoes of various types, and is about 13 dollars and is more than one person can eat.... it can actually feed two people. Other Greek food from the spanakopita to flaming something or the other is equally good The service is very personable and fun. Great beer selection with four craft beers on tap and about 50 in the bottle. A good Greek wine list and an adequate California list. But nothing you order is average, it is all good and the gyros are great. But here's what was impressive..We had a group of six, two appetizers to share, six entrees, six beers, a bottle of wine and a bill of $130 (before tip). None of us, which included a marathon runner in training, could finish the entrée. So a lot of food brought home. None of us are impressed by large portions but the food was so good that I think we all over-ate.
Then add one of the most spectacular settings in the Twin Cities in a 1920's art deco newly restored depot with a two hour leisurely meal and we were indeed transported back to the 1920's.
This is one of the true finds in St. Paul. Unbelievable how they have restored the Union depot and integrated a very fine restaurant with truly reasonable prices for really good Greek cuisine.

Very high quality food and service at the lunch buffet. The gyros was one of the best i've ever had. Lots of veggie, hummus, and other items too. Fantastic authentic Greek coffee! I look forward to going back.
