The Pavilion building itself is fine, but what I come here for is the mile and half walk around the lake. Even on a cool, overcast May afternoon it is very pleasant. But the best time to come is on a Summer evening, when one joins the promenade of families with young children and others of all ages, and a breeze off the water cools the warm air. Just off the South side of the lake are many restored homes that are worth taking note of.
Keep in mind that Como Lake is not a nature area, but is is a very civilized place for a stroll in the city.
