“Good old neighborhood place for a good, hearty breakfast!”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

Have been here for breakfast for a number of times. Just love it for breakfast. Menu includes a huge variety of breakfast combinations, omlettes, and pancakes. I always get the meat lovers omlette. Its fabulous every time. My daughter loves the chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream. Servers are friendly and the service is really quick. Just be aware to have your checkbook or enough cash with you, because the Copper Dome does not accept credit cards. Also, one a Saturday or Sunday morning, the parking lot on the side of the restaurant can get full quickly, which then means you need to find street parking.

“Good place for an average breakfast”
Reviewed March 16, 2012

Its hard to take diner food to the next level and this place does a great job leaving it at good. its not the best breakfast I've ever had, but as a neighborhood breakfast spot, it's good enough for me to not go farther to seek out better food. The omelets are great, the eggs are well cooked, and the pancakes and waffles are worth the price. It's also not terribly expensive. Bring cash, as they don't take cards.

“sub par ingredients”
Reviewed August 11, 2011

We live near the Copper Dome and use to go there quite a bit. We finally swore off that place because we noticed the quality of their food suffered. First off, the coffee is terrible. It tastes like they've recycled the old coffee dredges with maybe an extra scoop or two of a cheap grind in one of those old pots without a water filtration system. Nothing light and fluffy about the pancakes, very soggy and heavy. Poor quality of bacon, very fatty, not much actual meat on the strip. We noticed several bus boys clearing tables and pouring water, but what was real frustrating was the amount of time we had to wait before a server to come by for our order. We only saw two in the whole place and it was a Saturday morning. Sorry to rate this place so poorly because I love to patronize the local spots but bad food on top of bad service is not worth going back to anymore.

“You like breakfast? You'll like this place!”
Reviewed July 16, 2011

Our hotel in St. Paul did not offer a continental breakfast. So, thanks to Internet restaurant research, we headed to the Copper Dome which is known for great breakfasts. And a great breakfast we did have. This place was crowded - for a good reason - the food was good! We spent $21.00 and each had eggs, potatoes, pancakes and stuff to drink.

I should point out that their menu is very extensive. Making a choice is not that easy.

And you might find interesting the huge number of flour bags they have on display on nearly every square foot of wall surface.
