We found this gem by accident. The restaurant is in a converted Victorian mansion near the Alexander Ramsey House in St. Paul. We went on a Sunday evening and it was not busy. The staff were friendly and attentive. We started with cocktails and then selections from the summer Tasting menu with the wine flights. We enjoyed every course. It is a bit pricy, but would be perfect for a quiet dinner for two on a special occasion. If nothing else, stop in for a cocktail at the bar and take a tour of the house. They even claim to have a ghost. What more could you want?

I recently hosted a brunch there for business/ pleasure. It was a small group and we had a lovely room all to ourselves so we could socialize and also do some business. The room was outstanding and we were able to accomplish mingling before brunch with plenty of space. Service throughout was very good and we did not want for anything, except for better food. It was a set brunch menu and the coffee cake was delicious . There was a Waldorf salad and some sort of cheesy egg dish which was just mediocre at best. We also had some fried potatoes which were crunchy and not that tasty. For dessert we did have a deconstructed banana cream pie which was pleasing to the eye and the mouth. The mimosas and the champagne were also very good. I love the neighborhood and the house but the brunch food is really nothing special.

Went here for the (forgive the spelling) chateaux brianne for two. The meat was tender and delicious with vegetables and mashed potatoes decoratively arranged using a pastry press.

Happy Hour at Forepaughs is one of the best kept secrets of St Paul!! $4 wines and fantastic appetizers so reasonably priced! Check out their menu on their website, AND it lasts from 4-7pm!

Thats about it. An associate from another country never in my part of Gods country knew about this place because someone on his staff in his firm in Berlin raved about it! He was right, I also asked what else do you know, and no I'm not telling. Terrific place to eat and your able to have a private place to discuss because how its laid out, to discuss business (or whatever else...) if so inclined. Strongly recommend. and the guy who mentioned it had not been there but was given rave reviews by someone who was.
