A really bustling and varied business, shopping and eating location. All the locals are also ready to help with good advice on where to shop and eat.

“We live here and love it!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

What's not to like? Greats election of shops and eats on a 1-mile stretch of Grand Avenue convenient to downtown, public transit and bicycles. Ok parking can be tough, but you'll want to walk anyway.

We love eating at india Palace, Cafe Latte, Axel's and the Lex. Lesser known gems include Penzey's Spcies, Golden Fig gourmet shop and Grand Hand gallery.

Do yourself a favour. Spend an afternoon walking and shopping (AND eating!) along the avenue.

While I live betwen Lexington and Dale, there are lots of fun palces to visit between Snelling & Fairview, including Pad Thai on Grand, Shish, Grandview Cafe and Indochine.

So bike over on Summit Avenue, take the bus (#63) from downtown or park nearby and walk along. You'll be glad you did.

“You can find anything you need!”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

I lived on Grand Ave for a little over a year and loved every second of it! It's a great balance of busy and calm, and has tons of chain stores/restaurants mixed in with ma and pop shops and boutiques! It's a wonderful place to live, eat and shop!
