“Wonderful experience for the whole family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

The flowers in the sunken garden, the tropical plants and more in the conservatory are beautiful. The zoo has great exhibit halls for great apes, big cats, giraffes etc. Polar bears too. In the summer the have a seal show with Sparky. All of this is free but of course you would want to make a donation. In this park next to the zoo is Como Town a very fun amusement park for children 8 and under. Across from Como Town is mini golf, too. There is a small cafeteria with passable food.

“Plant lovers paradise.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

If you happen to be in MN during cold or rainy weather then this is a faborite place to go! Each greenhouse has a different theme (rainforest, fern garden etc), the cafe has good food, and the flowers are always in bloom. Great for cheering up a grey day. Bonus: monkey exhibit!

“Good for everyone”

Cheap date night. Conservatory is beautiful at Easter time. Kids enjoy the fish in the pond. Green and warm in the midst of frigid cold. Great visit with animals without feeling like you have to walk miles. Great price! Free or donation. Highly recommended.

“Don't miss this treasure!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

Como Zoo and Conservatory is just the right size for families with young children and is enjoyable for adults of all ages. The zoo continues to progress toward more natural habitats for the animals and has a strong emphasis on education and conservation. The Conservatory is home to over 100 Bonsai, award winning orchids and a Japanese garden. Don't miss the Sparky Show!
