I have been going to the Minnesota State Fair for years. It is a yearly event for the best eating ever! The people watching cannot be beat. Parking is super easy with park and ride lots surrounding the fairgrounds; just have to go on line to check where the park and ride lots are, you will be picked up at a park and ride lot by bus, taken to the gate of the fair and dropped off, it takes the hassle out of finding a parking spot; the bus will deliver you back to your lot when ready to leave; they run regularly and we have not had long waits to either get in or out of the parking area. There is free entertainment at the Leinies' bandshell and you can find almost any type of food you wish to try on a stick or at a sit down restaurant. Be sure to try a Gizmo sandwich at the Machinery Hill location; we would not think about the fair without a Gizmo... just wish I could get them year around! The International Bazaar is super fun. I've noticed a lot more benches around the fair and that's great to take a break and do some people watching! Have fun, you'll be glad you came!

This is the best Fair I have been to. So big, so much to do, so much to EAT, lots of concerts to go too. You definietly get a good work out walking around everywhere! Parking was easy. Lots of attractions, games. We went to a couple of concerts which was great. DEFINITELY check it out. Such a beautiful time of year too!

Our family enjoys walking the state fair grounds year round. Only three times during the year are the fairgrounds closed to the public. We bike ride, walk, rollerblade and hike all over the fair grounds. It is safe as St. Paul Police officers patrol 24/7. We enjoy the peaceful quiet of grounds while spending time with our family. Of course, absolutely love it during the fair - a must see and go and do!
