If you are looking for a smaller venue with amazing talent and shows...then this is for you. Park Square attracts top notch actors and they always do phenomenal job. It's a great place to see a show and never disappoints

We attended the Musical "Johnny Baseball" this past weekend in St Paul. It was our first experience with the Park Square Theater and found it to be a very memorable one. The facilities are first class and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is the lower level of the historic former Hamm's Brewery Corporate Office. The production was excellent with the sound and lighting being on the same level as any of the top theaters in the country. There was a very talented cast of actors who had worked hard to prepare for their roles and the cast meshed well together. There is a real charm to this area of St Paul plenty of good dining choices nearby to make an evening at the theater special.

I've been ushering at the Park Sqare for a few years now and their production of "Johnny Baseball" is the best play I've seen there yet. If you can possibly make it into St.Paul, please consider attending this play. And if you are a Red Sox fan or just a baseball fan, its a must see.
The Park Square is a small, but comfortable theater that seats about 330 people. Every seat is a good one. There is a small concession in the lobby that sells wine, coffee, tea, and other beverages plus cookies and other small snacks. Beverages are allowed in the theater. There are also several eating establishments within less than one block.

Johnny Baseball has humor, great music, and superb acting. The shows run is from Jan.18 thru
Feb. 10th. Don't miss it !!

Every performance is rich in acting, setting, costuming and direction - leaving you emotionally and intellectually satisfied and looking forward to the next. You won't be disappointed, no matter which play you choose to see. Located near equally satisfying restaurants in downtown St Paul.

I just saw "Laughter on the 23rd Floor", the Neil Simon play about comedy writers. It is a funny play, to be sure, but the cast was fantastic. Their portrayals of the various "characters", based loosely on the comedy writers from "Your Show of Shows" in the 1950s, were spot-on. The dialogue is fast, clever, delivered with impeccable timing, and laugh-out-loud funny. The theater itself is relatively small, and although we were sitting at the very far left against the wall, we had a great view of all the action. They have a great concession stand during intermission, and unlike the Guthrie Theater, you can actually get served a beverage in a reasonably fast time. There are a number of really good restaurants within walking distance of the theater, making a night out on the town easy and relaxing. This was one of the better theater experiences I have had in the Twin Cities in a long time!
