“Great Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

The Radisson is a nice hotel located near the Rosedale Mall as well as Bethel University and Northwestern College. Many restaurants are nearby and there is an onsite restaurant, Axels, which has good food. Rooms are clean and well maintained and provide Sleep Number beds. The only knock was that the sauna did not work and some of the jets in the spa didn't work properly.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I will most likely stay here again when I am in the area. The rooms in the hotel have seen better days, but I think they are getting ready to update them. The last room I stayed (235) was quiet and comfortable, but the heater was noisey so I turned the heat off and put on an extra blanket at night. The view out the window was of a wall and the back parking lot. I doubt that there is any room in this hotel with a good view. One of the elevators was not working on my last stay as well. You would think this would result in a poorer review, but the beds are comfortable, the TV was great, the bathroom was clean, etc. I also like the restaurant and the desk staff is very friendly. They let me print my boarding pass behind the desk because the printer in the lobby was not working right.

So if you are annoyed by all of these problems, this is not the place for you. I find the convenience of the location and the positives outweigh the negatives.

Easy to find, Beautiful rooms. Helpful staff and even a Starbucks in the lobby. This place keeps the temp of the pool super warm which is absolutely wonderful to use after getting out of the MN cold. We've stayed here four times in the last four months and every time has been just as great as the first time.

Room Tip: All the rooms are GREAT!

I have stayed at this hotel 25-30 times in the last 20 years. Since Radisson has taken over, this hotel has only gotten better. They have put a great deal of work to renovate an older building. Their customer service is always top notch. Whenever I have an event in the Twin Cities I stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located for events in Minneapolis or St. Paul.

This is a remodeled freeway hotel just north of St. Paul UMN campus. Reasonably priced, clean and with the needed features. My one gripe is the design of the lobby with respect to the large conference room that was booked the morning of my departure with a corporate meeting. There is absolutely no extra room for the meeting attendees to mill about outside the room without literally obstructing guests from getting to elevators, hallways, and restaurant. Someone wasn't thinking (architect?) when they put this floor plan together. There's a reason good conference/meeting hotels ALWAYS have the meeting rooms in another wing...

Otherwise, I was a satisfied customer.

My husband came here for a Valentine's get away. We bought the romance package through crowd cut so it cost us far less....that being said I would not pay full price for the package, the, you get a package of three (gross) chocolates, a tiny bottle of massage oil (enough to rub one foot) and a bottle of cheap champagne. The room was great, very comfy and modern (we stayed in one of the king bed rooms) .....except the tub. The tub was small and old and didn't seem to fit but the shower was fine. Pool was average, we had fun. We ordered room service for the hotel restaurant, Axles, prime rib and ribeye meals. A bit over priced but decent quality.

Other than a treacherously icy and trashy parking lot this was a great stay. We upgraded to an executive room so had a fridge, microwave and king sized bed (love the sleep number beds). Big swimming pool and nice exercise room. Friendly staff.
