The wife and I had a hankering for some seafood last Friday night so we headed down to the ol Red Lobster in Roseville, MN. For the most part you get your bang for the buck for a "Chain" restaurant but I believe that even though it is a chain you should still receive great customer service. Not at this location.
First off the food was good, not great but good seafood. So now that we have that out of the way let me tell you about our experience here. It was 7:30 on a Friday so there was about a 25 minute wait, no problem there so we headed to the bar to get a drink and wait. While we waited our 25 minutes we noticed not 1, not 2 but 3 tables in the bar area that could seat couples that were open. There were 3 couples waiting in the bar area, but we all waited our turn to get seated in the dining room. Hey Red Lobster mgmt, some of us don't mind sitting in the bar area! You're dining room is not the Russian Tea Room. The bartenders at the Lobster get an A+, very busy yet attentive to everyone's needs. I wish I could sat the same about our waitress. It took the waitress 3 turns to come back to our table and greet us before she even took our drink order and on that third time we were ready to order our meal and she took off. On the fourth trip back to our table she brought the signature cheese biscuits BEFORE our drinks arrived and with NO silverware. Then my wife's salad came, still no silverware but the drinks finally arrived. The only thing our waitress did was act like she was stoned & confused, take our order, bring us biscuits with no silverware or napkins and bring us the check after being finished for 15 minutes. All the while I counted and it seemed that she only had 5 tables max.
In conclusion, this Red Lobster location receives the following:
Bartenders & Drinks: A+
Food:B-, average at best...
Waitress & Service: Epic Fail and a big fat F...
