My husband and I found ourselfves unexpectedly making 3 trips to the Mayo Clinic this summer and so while we were waiting on test results we decided to go to Michaels. Definitely an old guard type of place (not a bad thing) with many oictures of celebrities on the wall who have enjoyed a meal there as well as paintings of all kinds. Each waiter who waited on us was great espcially Buddy the waiter on our first visit there; he was very knowledgeable and appeared genuinely interested in our needs and experience there. When asked he highly recommended the Petite Fillet, What a surprise! I have never tasted a steak as good as the one there...perfectly seaasoned, it was by far the best I have ever had (DH agreed). We returned there again later in the summer and had a repeart performance...every bit as good as the first time. They were running a special if you ate before 5 (which we needed to do) . I hihgly recoommend it!

We ate dinner at Michael's recently. The atmosphere is subdued and old fashioned,
like something from the 1960's, a bit strange but tolerable.
Our food was very good and the service was excellent. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. We would eat here again occasionally.

When we want dependability and friendly service, we always head to Michael's. The food is excellent. The wait staff look and act like they actually love their work. They make every patron feel important and valued. The food is delicious. We've eaten there several times during Mayo visits and never left disappointed. The restaurant is large and maybe a little dated. The menu matches, but we always find something we adore. This trip it was the roast duck on a bed of wild rice. Absolutely perfectly prepared! My husband was having blood tests the next morning, and the staff was very helpful in preparing a meal that was very tasty even though limited in ingredients. Don't miss this place!

Michael's is pre-eminent among the old guard of restaurants in Rochester that people coming through town for appointments at Mayo Clinic have frequented for years. The walls are lined with the photos of celebrities who've stopped for a meal. Busy at both lunch and dinner, the food is above average, but not extraordinary. Try Greek specialties like the avgolemono soup. Reservations are recommended; during busy times, you could wait for a table.
