Michael's has a classic, retro charm to it and the place is massive. The ratings are incredibly high and it was packed, but the food and service were major let downs.

The steak comes over and under-cooked, depending on your preference. The steak sandwich is basically two small mediocre patties on a standard piece of bread. The fish was mediocre.

The service was poor, as several sides were forgotten or wrongfully placed.

Poor service, outdated decor, high prices, and food that doesn't impress. It is sad to see this land mark falling on the wayside.

I have dined at Michaels for about 20 years, and I think they have the same menu. It's time to change it up a bit. The entrance shows famous guests from the past, but they won't be taking new photos if they don't change some things.

Just OK is right. The restaurant is huge, busy and beautiful old style decor. It's known for it's steaks which looked massive and delicious? We had the Parmesan crusted Walleye fish. The night before we had the same dish at another restaurant and it was much better there. All the food was Very Salty. The dark beer was good.
