Tasty food--not bland like some other local Mexican restaurants. Friendly service, fair pricing, and a fun variety of drinks and salsas. Could use more seating, and seating spaced wider apart--that is my only suggestion. I'm sure they will be successful enough to expand soon.

El Carambas is a hidden jewel in Rochester. Once you have tried it, you will be hooked! The owner, Eddie, is like a friend to us now. He is often there on duty and always cheerful. You feel like family when you dine there. We often get take out from the restaurant as well. The prices are great, and the food is just delicious. The restaurant is always clean and the service is the friendliest around. Try the Chili Rellanos! I also appreciate that they have the heart to give back to the community.

We went there for lunch. Great value for the price, and the food is the "real thing"! (There is lots of Mexican heritage in my family)

When you walk-in you find a order-at-the counter atmosphere and may get cold feet. Persevere! The tote-board boasts an interesting variety of typical dishes ... almost matched by the variety of salsas that are on display. If you are familiar with this food as served in Mexico you will not be disappointed: tacos, tortas, menudo ...

We enjoyed a variety of tacos and "aguas frescas" (flavored ades). The staff were all pleasant and came out from behind the counter to ensure we enjoyed our food and nothing was missing.

This restaurant is truly representative of its genre.

The salsa bar in there is wonderful. The food is wonderful. The people are wonderful. Seating can be a problem though because there isn't much of it.

The food is out of this world with an excellent homemade salsa bar. Very friendly staff, expect a warm hola and gracias when you leave. I eat here a couple times a week with my fiance. Try the Supremo Burritos, Enchilatas or tacos. On birthdays the staff comes out of the kitchen to dress you in a sombrero and sing you happy birthday!!
