“Good nights sleep”

We stayed here on Fri and Sat. Room was quiet, bed was good, staff friendly. Used the shuttle to Jackpot Junction casino and it was timely. Breakfast was normal fair, fruit or apple juice would of been good, they had orange juice. Overall it was a good value.

It took 40 min for me to get checked in due to mistakes made when we booked. The hotel was "remodeled" but it was easy to tell that several shortcuts were taken. The walls were thin and activity in other rooms and lobby were easily heard. The staff were pleasant and the rooms clean. There were no dust mite covers on the mattresses.

This is a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. The problem is none of the things they advertise on their home page is true. Here is what they say:
"We promise to give prompt attention to your requests and resolve issues and concerns you may have. We also promise that your room will be properly supplied, clean and in excellent repair.

When a mistake happens we will do our best to resolve your concerns immediately. We work as a team to build goodwill with our clientele and in our community. You can rest assure that we will treat you, our guest, in a professional and courteous manner."

This was our experience:
We rented 3 rooms from them for 3 nights when we traveled to Minnesota for our wedding; 1 for our son and one of our mom's.
Mom's room: No refrigerator in her room, which was specifically requested. Moved her to another room (instead of just putting a fridge in her room). New room - shower and sink wouldn't drain - took more than 24 hours to resolve that issue. No coffee pot - not resolved for 24 hours and then they brought her a dirty pot with someone else's grounds still in the pot(health violation).
Our room - hot tub, king suite - locked us out of our room on Friday - had to go back down to the front desk to get keys reset - no apologies. Maid did NOT clean our room other than new towels and trash - but took the tip we left. Sat - on our wedding day - locked out of our room again. Maid took the tip and DID NOT clean our room again - dumped the trash and put clean towels out. No vacuuming, the bed wasn't made, nothing wiped down and took the tip again.
Called and asked to speak with the general manager and was told she would "take a call from us on Monday". Still in a dirty room, no coffee, and completely irritated and angry on our honeymoon night. Probably going to have to take them to court to get my money back. They have no idea what customer service means. No one cared about all the issues and no one cared that they ruined our wedding stay. Never ever stay here. Not worth it no matter what the price.
Stayed on March 20 - 22nd, 2014 - wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Stayed here when I was traveling Minnesota for work. The lobby is greatly welcoming and the room is pretty average for a small Minnesota Town. Great government rate for those of you traveling for the state! There is some work and upkeep that needs to occur in the common spaces and hallways as the age is showing through. Close the WalMart, Pizza Ranch, and the gas station making it easy to get back on the road in the morning. The continental breakfast is nothing special.

Advertising was misleading. The breakfast was lame; cereal, white bread, gross coffee and looked like week old pastries. The rooms were very outdated and smelled like smoke. The hot tub was out of order and their "exercise room" was a few ellipticals and one stationary bike all cramped into a tiny bedroom. I was very disappointed in this place. I knew it was a bit of a drive from other "cities" like mankato, but unless you plan on only doing outdoor activities, then this is a waste of time and money,

Stayed at the Lodge during a recent family reunion. The staff at the desk were very nice. Our room was clean, but smelled like smoke, and the chairs had some cigarette burns in them. Breakfast could be a bit better....there was a single apple when we got there, and only waffles, bagels, and muffins otherwise.

For the price, it's just fine.

If you are looking for a comfortable bed with a cozy duvet in a clean room, this is the place to be! The hotel staff went out of their way to be friendly and professional. Breakfast was simple, but warm and satisfying. This motel even has a workout room, with a treadmill and bike. Kudos to Gail! You made my stay away from home very comfy! Thank you!
